Movie Presentation

Its been almost an year in IIM Raipur.  It had been so far a wonderful journey filled with highs and lows giving  me the opportunity to learn from them The awesome peer group helping me come out of my "grey hair complex" ( The grey hair complex is a self-induced state of intimidation in the presence of senior persons). It was fun working with people who had more than triple the times of my experience. Hoping that this lovely journey continues.

THE FLASH MOVIE MAKING SYNDROME: 
It all started with Movie maker, the love towards creating flash presentations. The flash movie making which I began for my seniors farewell as a bloopers show for them grew rapidly to became a passion. I tried my hand at most of the flash movie making softwares from Pinnacle, Adobe after effects.But this one in Prezi brings in a new approach of giving a presentation. This looks damn cool in totality

I like the name of Ideas make market. Yes truly as we live in the age of knowledge where everyone of us have easy access to knowledge, it is only the way we think and ideas we create are the change drivers. The same goes for business as well. This one is on how Disruptive Innovations are changing the way we live. We continuously should challenge us in the thoughts and disrupt the existing practices and technologies. How in the coming days, it becomes very important for the managers and entrepreneurs to not be as Brahma and Vishnu, but also need to act as SHIVA to disruptively innovate.

Marriage

Awesome days set to remain in memories for time to come!! I have just come home after my brother’s marriage back in Tirunelveli. A new girl for my mom n dad has come in the form of daughter in law. Marriages here are not mere function but it is where not only two people join, but also two families join. The marriages here are more of a get together for family and friends in the busy life. And exactly that is what happened. All family and friends came in to bless the bride and groom.

One full coach was filled with relatives and friends as we set off from Chennai towards Tirunelveli. The function unfolded with us offering prayers to God in the evening. A pleasant walk back to the hall in the evening with all relatives made the day.

On the D day as things started to roll early in the morning on various customs, my memory went back to the days when me and my brother used to play in the garden before starting to school. This marriage day for which we were waiting for the last six months was there for us to celebrate.

Back again my mind came surrounded by people in the stage. The moment has come. People throw the flowers as a symbol of their blessings and I stand there capturing every moment in my CANON. I could see my mom’s eye welled with happy tears and went close to her to calm her down. The ceremony was immediately followed by a series of rituals.

The evening was filled with fun as the games were started. The competition got interesting as people from both sides joined in the party. The games went for more than an hour which went at lightning speed. The last day ceremony saw a whole lot of hospitality being exchanged from both sides and eventually we boarded in train biding adieu to all new relations.

After five months finally a little ray of light. Finished 14th in the OPCOCIENTE 1.4 - IIM C 's OPSIG quiz. This is a monthly quiz of Operations Special Interest group of IIM C.

This video was made for Estrategia in SIBM Pune. This was the first time I had used power point for making of a video. The other softwares used was Pinnacle.
